Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Statement
Our commitment
Mavents (Maven Technology Services Ltd) is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all areas of our business and supply chains.
Modern slavery is a serious crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It includes slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, and human trafficking. We take a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and are committed to acting ethically, responsibly and transparently in all our business relationships.
This statement is published in accordance with section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and outlines the steps we take to prevent modern slavery within our business and supply chains.
About our business
Mavents is a UK-based technology consultancy providing independent advice and delivery services across AI, automation, data and enterprise technology.
Our work is primarily professional services–based and delivered by employees and specialist contractors operating in regulated labour markets. As a result, the risk of modern slavery within our direct operations is considered low. However, we recognise that risks may exist within wider supply chains and remain vigilant
Our supply chains
Our supply chain primarily includes:
- Professional contractors and consultants
- Technology and software providers
- Business and operational service providers
We expect all suppliers, contractors and business partners to comply with applicable laws, including the Modern Slavery Act 2015, and to uphold high standards of ethical conduct and respect for human rights.
Policies and governance
Our approach to preventing modern slavery is supported by:
- Our Code of Conduct, which sets out expectations for ethical behaviour and compliance with human rights and employment law
- This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
- Contractual expectations placed on suppliers and subcontractors
We reserve the right to review and, where necessary, terminate relationships where serious breaches of these standards are identified.
Due diligence and risk management
We take a proportionate, risk-based approach to modern slavery due diligence, which includes:
- Considering modern slavery risks when onboarding new suppliers and contractors
- Working primarily with reputable suppliers operating in regulated markets
- Expecting suppliers to manage modern slavery risks within their own supply chains
Where concerns are identified, we aim to work constructively with suppliers to address and remediate issues where appropriate.
Reporting concerns
We encourage employees, contractors and business partners to raise concerns about potential modern slavery or human trafficking.
Concerns can be raised with a line manager, a company director, or by emailing compliance@mavents.co. We are committed to supporting anyone who raises a genuine concern in good faith and to ensuring concerns are handled appropriately and confidentially.
Training and awareness
Awareness of modern slavery risks forms part of our broader commitment to ethical and responsible business practices. Relevant information is provided as part of induction and reinforced through ongoing communication where appropriate.
Continuous improvement
We recognise that preventing modern slavery requires ongoing attention. We will continue to review and improve our policies, supplier relationships and internal processes to ensure our approach remains effective and proportionate.
